Ok, so this is what happens when I don't have my day planner with me...I forget it's my week to blog and it's 2 days late. Well, lots going on this week!!! I enjoyed some quality time with a friend from my school days visiting from New Hampshire. She was glad to be here when the power went out last week, but eventually had to go home to it. Power has finally been restored and I'm sure she's showered by now...at least I hope so!! So, Rocklahoma announces their line up....seriously? Have you seen what these corporate stuffed suits have done to such a great festival, who's slogan WAS "It's all about the party"? RIDICULOUS!! Tesla, (ok, they're cool), Buckcherry (alright, if I was gonna see a modern band, they would be it), Cinderella (They Rock, but will also be at M3) and the headliners: Godsmack and ZZ Top. And then there are a bunch of bands I've never heard of. IT"S A 3 DAY FESTIVAL!!! The essence that was Rocklahoma is gone! BUT, there is hope for you die hard 80s rockers. I have a little inside info on another festival in the works...Oklahoma City, July, and they are going after the bands that Rocklahoma wishes they could get!! Can't tell you who yet, but let's just say I got pretty excited when I heard the potential lineup! So stay tuned for more details as we get them!!
We are still headed to M3, just got our sponsor package info this week and in the process of finalizing that. So it's shaping up to be a rockin' summer once again at Retro Active. Don't forget, we're turning 5 this year too. And you know what that means? ........ CAKE!!!! :) Plus a whole lot more fun stuff! That's it for now, I've teased you long enough!
